Bay Challenge is ready to paddle for outrigger talent

IT HAS been a big year for Noosa Outrigger Canoe Club members with many regattas attended and races contested in South Queensland and New Zealand, and others soon in Tahiti and Hawaii.
Before then, everyone's invited to catch the action on this Saturday when Noosa hosts the Laguna Bay Challenge, the final OC6 marathon regatta for the South Queensland 2018 racing season.

The Loggerheads have been building their campaign throughout the year and to date have competed in the National Sprint Championships, New Zealand Takapuna Beach International, Grand Prix Marathon events at Mooloolaba, Gold Coast and Brisbane, the Gold Coast Cup 45 km changeover race and the recent National Marathon Championships at Mooloolaba.

A 30-year-old man charged with allegedly filming three women who were getting changed in a Gold Coast clothing store on Sunday, June 3, is facing an additional 50 charges. Police arrested the man at the Biggera Waters clothing store on Sunday and charged him with allegedly filming three women getting changed. The Biggera Waters man will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on June 6 over 51 alleged breach of privacy offences. He is also facing a count of possessing property suspected of being tainted. Police investigators are working on identifying the victims who were allegedly filmed and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incidents to contact police. Better mobile phone coverage on the way

If you feel as though you spend half your life tilting your head every which way, or hanging off the back veranda just to get one bar of coverage on your mobile phone – you could be in luck. The Federal Government has allocated $25 million to the fourth round of the Mobile Black Spot Program. Man 'filmed women in changing rooms' at Gold Coast, police allege

A man has been charged after women were allegedly filmed as they were changing at a Gold Coast retail store on Sunday. Three women were filmed trying on clothes between 10.30am and 12pm at a Biggera Waters shopping centre. A 30-year-old Biggera Waters man was charged with three counts of making recordings in breach of privacy and was due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on June 18. Police have not been able to identify the women who were filmed and have urged anyone who may have witnessed the incidents to contact police.
